Community Kids Partner with The Gospel Project

We are so excited to announce a curriculum change in our Community Kids preschool and elementary programs on Sunday mornings! Beginning on January 8, we will embark on a chronological journey through Scripture via The Gospel Project for Kids. The Gospel Project for Kids is designed to walk children of all ages through Scripture in order to understand how all of Scripture testifies to one unifying story, the Gospel of Jesus Christ. As we partner with families in joining Jesus, our prayer is to create a gospel-centered culture through discipleship that changes how we understand the Bible and how we live in light of it. We want our kids to recognize that Jesus isn’t just part of the Biblical story, He’s the whole point of the story. And His story is life-transforming. Because when we encounter the Gospel, it changes our hearts and leads us to action.

Each Sunday in Community Kids, we will:

  • See the Big Story: Kids will understand that the Bible is not a collection of different stories, but God’s unified story of redemption.

  • Read Scripture in Connection to Christ: Each lesson provides a deep, Christ-centered Bible study experience for all ages.

  • Grasp Essential Christian Doctrines: The Big Picture Questions and Answers are designed to help kids understand essential theological doctrines of the Christian Faith.

  • Be Mission-Driven: Kids will participate in activities that lead them to understand that God has placed them on mission wherever they are right now.

Our new curriculum will also provide more opportunities to engage in family discipleship resources that align with what we are learning in Community Kids each week. These resources will include family worship experiences, activities, videos, prayer prompts, and more!
