Stories seemed to be flying around everywhere this past week at Christ Community. Some stories were just beginning as new babies were born! Other stories were finding themselves stuck in places of sickness and difficulty. Still, others were finding renewed life in courageous obedience.
I don't many people who would say about their life story, "Oh yeah, it played out exactly like I thought it would."
Those sentiments reminded me of the Dr. Seuss classic, "Oh, the Places You'll Go." It was his last book and reflected on the journeys of life. I'll leave you with the closing sentiment: "So...
be your name Buxbaum or Bixby or Bray
or Mordecai Ali Van Allen O'Shea,
You're off the Great Places!
Today is your day!
Your mountain is waiting.
So...get on your way!"
Let me celebrate some people "on the way" and invite you on some journeys...
Jennifer Bright just modeled courageous obedience for us.
Being baptized is a huge step no matter what. Doing that out of obedience as an adult who's been leading and walking with the Lord for several years takes a lot of courage! I'm thankful for Jennifer's heart and I'm grateful for her leadership. Oh, the places you will go!
Students aren't waiting around to make their faith their own.
One of our leaders snapped this photo of some of our young girls during the Gathering yesterday. I've heard about an encouraging meeting with some of our high school guys planning how they intend to be disciplemakers in the next couple years. I met with a young man whose going to share his story of having his faith tested next weekend. Students aren't waiting around to make their faith their own. They're doing it. They're leading us, pushing us even, to grow in our love for Jesus and others.
Oh, the places you will go! Several babies stories just started and you can be a part by taking a meal!
We've had 4 babies in the last couple weeks at CCC! 3 of them have active meal trains going on that you can be a part of! This is just blessings all around - a huge blessing for the families receiving and a blessing for those taking meals as well! I'll leave you with links to sign-up...

Maeghan Adams showed us what it looks like to live on mission.
Maeghan, despite her quickened heart rate, is always so well spoken! She articulated so well what it looks like when we live on mission. We seek out God's plan for our lives. We love the people in our lives well. We invite others to join us.
