Marriage
1 Corinthians 7 deals with marriage more extensively than any other text in Scripture - we absorbed a lot together yesterday! Engaging with marriage often connects to each persons individual story in unique ways both positive and negative. I feel the weight of that today. Know that I'm praying for our church this week to really allow the Spirit to settle God's Word deep into our hearts on this topic this week - with truth and grace.
If marriage is a painful topic for you, please know you can contact your group leader or someone from our leadership teams to process through that together. Don't do this alone! I read this in a newsletter this morning and it applies:
Hurt exposes our desire and need to find healing for our pain and to experience the healing that relationship brings. Denial of pain eventually increases the damage. Admission of pain eventually can bring us to healing.
If you're married, I would encourage you to carve out time to have an intentional conversation about your marriage this week. If you're searching for time in the calendar, we've found that you can often commit to getting up an hour earlier one time to spend time talking and praying together.
Mission
We're lining up an INCREDIBLE list of opportunities to GO on mission this year! One of our best trips every year (especially for families) is our Spring Break trip to Eastern Kentucky to serve with GAP. We need a team of 15 for that trip, and that means we need YOU!

Movement
It's always inspiring for me to hear leaders in our church sharing about how God called them to ministries they are serving in and how they are living that out - yesterday's story was no different!
I keep coming back to comments they made in my mind and this leadership thought began to emerge..
Vision gets people moving. Shepherding keeps people moving.
I'm thankful for Kenny's faithful leadership in our student ministry that's modeled this. He cast vision for student ministry several years ago and as people said yes to serving alongside of him, he's cared for them and shepherded them towards the ministry they are doing today.
So whether you're a leader in our community or you're simply trying to lead your family well, clarify the vision of where you're going, and then shepherd the people you're leading as they move towards it. You'll accomplish so much more together!
